1. Present in frout of the class because it helps get people ready for public speaking.
2.Remember that the more time you spend on a project the more that you get out of it because you can apply it to almost anything.
3.I would change the way theprojects where and have them hand them all in on the last week of the course and every week early the are they get 2 extra credit points and for the half way marking period grade them on how far they have gotten on the projects.
4. I would recammend this course because it is an easy grade booster and you get alot out of it.
5. Keep the end in mind because you always need to know where you are going because it is very important. This way that you fufill your dream with the least number of roadblocks
1. What was the most beneficial activity we did in this course? Why?
I think the most beneficial activity we did in this course was definitely the great discovery mission project because it got me thinking about where I want to be in the future. It also made me think really hard about the people who affect my life and what’s really important to me. I think that the Great discovery Mission project was the one I put the most effort into because I actually cared about my answers and my statement.
2. If there was only one thing you learned from this course that you never want to forget, what would it be? Why?
If there was one thing that I learned from this course that I never want to forget it’s that being a leader isn’t about being the perfect person, but it’s abut doing everything in your power to achieve your goals, and help others reach theirs as well.
3. If you could change one thing about this course, what would it be and how would you change it?
If there was anything I would change about this course I would want to make it longer than 10 weeks because I often found myself rushing to finish assignments because the marking period was coming to a close. I would change this simply by getting my work done on time instead of always talking because I’m not sure how I could convince the school board to make it Leadership a semester long course.
4. Why would you recommend (or not) this course to other students in our school?
I would highly recommend this course to other students because it’s fun, the projects are enjoyable and there isn’t ever homework overload. Also the course teaches how to be able to lead group activities and forces people to become more involved with the student body, which is a good thing. All in all I would recommend this course because I really enjoyed it.
5. Which of the "7 Habits" do you feel is the most important for you to focus on right now in your life? Why? How will you be implementing this Habit in your life?
The most important habit in my life is Habit 2, “Begin with the end in mind” because I tend to have a “I’ll take life as it comes” attitude. And that’s not necessarily the best thinking to have when things like choosing a college, and what to major in when I do choose a college. I will be implementing this habit by starting to think about how my choices affect my future, and starting to think about what I want to do in life.
1. The most beneficial project we did this year was the 7 habits project were we all worked as a small group. It was an awesome idea to pair everyone up with people they didn’t know. You met others and had to learn how to work together with them. When everyone was focused on a certain habit, it got everyone’s minds thinking about how they could apply it to their own life. Now that everyone has presented, everyone learned so much about numerous categories.
2. The one thing I learned during this course that I will never forget is that sometimes it’s better to be quiet and not say anything. Sometimes it can be really awkward because no one is talking, but if you do say something when you really don’t know people it could “turn them off” or they could think you are something else. You don’t want to say the wrong thing, so sometimes it is way better not to say anything at all.
3. If I could change one thing about this course it would be to have more projects that we work together in. The one group project we did was such a success, and I think we should do more like it and keep switching group partners.
4. I would recommend this course to everyone because I know that every one should try to be a leader at something. I would say that it is a lot of fun, and you also learn a lot. You meet a whole bunch of new people who have a lot in common with you.
5. Right now I need to focus mostly on the third habit, put first things first. Sometimes I do other things before my homework and then I stay up to ten o’clock finishing it- and that’s not a good thing. Hopefully now that I have learned more about this habit I will start applying it to my life by keeping a better schedule for myself and focusing on what is most important.
1.The most beneficial project we did this year would have to be the seven habits project and the project was more interesting because you didn’t know the people you were working with. It really was a good idea because we all know each other now.
2.There isn’t just one thing I will remember, I will remember the seven habits because they are so useful in everything you do, it sounds corny, but it’s true. Even if you just meet someone for the first time it can help to lighten the mood.
3.If I could change one thing about this course is the seating arrangement, because all this course the same people sat by each other through out the whole year. I would change that by making new assigned seats each week.
4.I would recommend this course to other students because, it helps you stay on top of things, can help you get organized, really interesting, and fun.
5.One of the seven habits I feel is most important to me now would be sharpen the saw, or first to understand then be understood, because I am really stressed out all the time and I need to take time to relax, or I will not listen to others because I am too stressed. It will help me in my life to take a step back relax and listen.
1. The most beneficial activity we did this course was the icebreaker because it really helped me learn how to lead a group of people I don't really know and it gave me a lot of confidence which I think will help me in the future.
2. I would never want to forget the tips given as we presented our power point presentations. I learned so much by doing those and the feedback really helped me learn from my mistakes. I think knowing how to present such a big thing like that is important to know.
3. If I could change one thing about this course it would be to change some of the projects and make them more meaningful. I mostly loved all the projects but for example a project like the Personal Bank Account did not help me with anything or teach me anything. I had a tough time filling it because I could not remember things that had happened.
4. I would definitely recommend this class to students because I think you learn a lot from this class. The things we learned were more about things we can always use in life. Most classes you just learn things and the next day you forget them. I learned so much in Leadership that I know will help me in the present and future. I think this is a great class to take.
5. I think the most important habit out of all seven is being proactive. I think that because being proactive is a huge part of my life right now and getting involved and planning has so many beneficial parts to it. I will be implementing this habit all throughout my whole life with getting involved in school, doing sports and also when it comes time for college.
1. I think the most beneficial activity we did in this course was having to each think of an icebreaker at the beginning. This really helped us to learn more about each other and really step out of our comfort zone by leading something by ourselves.
2. If there was only one thing that I could remember from this course I would want it to be the seven habits of highly effective teens. The seven habits played a major role during my life and I never knew it. After we learned about the habits I really took the time to notice how I used them in my personal life. I also tried to fit them in so I could be a better person.
3. If I could change one thing about this course it would be that we work more in groups. I think working in groups is important because you really have to put all seven habits together to accomplish something. Working by yourself is important as well, but I think working in more groups could have helped us to learn more leadership skills.
4. I would definitely recommend this course to other kids in our school. This course really teaches you how to be an effective leader. I think this course was definitely worth while and it affected my life in many positive ways. For example I learned how to put the seven habits into my life, and I learned how to be more confident with myself when talking in front of groups.
5. I think the most important habit to focus on right now would be to put first things first. I have a lot of work to get done right now and I need to prepare myself for regents that are coming up in a couple months. I will be studying prior to the regents and going over my notes as I go along. I will get my work done before I do other things that I don’t really need to do.
1. I think the most beneficial activity we did this year was the club involvement project. I think the club involvement project was a great idea because it forced us to get involved in our school which boosted our leadership skills and helped our club out too.
2. Put First Things First. I am the worlds biggest procrastinator and if I take anything away from this course I want it to be a knowledge of prioritizing. I know how to prioritize and I know it will help me but I just have the hardest time sticking to my plans and I really think I'm learning learned how to do that.
3. If I could change one thing about this course it would be the way directions are given. I love the idea Mr. Turton had which gave us a ton of freedom and it taught us how to get things done on our own but I prefer a little bit more direction. I understand why we were given so much freedom and it is a great idea but I still would have liked a little bit more direction.
4. I would recommend this course to other students because it really is a great filler for your schedule. Rather than taking a course that you won't really use for 10 weeks why not take this course that is fun but you still learn something. Additionally, I think the skills you learn in this course are skills you'll use for your entire life no matter what field of work you go into. I know that I've learned to work in a group more efficiently and how to speak to people and still keep their attention and these are great things to know.
5. As i previously mentioned habit 3, put first things first, is what I need to be focusing on right now. I need to stick to the plans I make for myself. Making the plans isn't a problem for me, it's that my self discipline isn't very strong and I often get off track. I will implement this habit in my life by not procrastinating!
1. Your first name and last initial
Samantha L.
2. The Club you are involved in

3. Mission of the club
Bring kids together and have a healthy community
4. Your role in the club
Student congress rep
5. A description of your project in the club
it was an icebreaker that had to do with the Halloween theme of the night meeting
6. Why you chose the project
I chose this because it was a great way to get everyone in the club talking and to get to know each other.
7. Why you would say you have been successful (or not)?
I would say I had been successful because I was able to talk to a large group of people with out freaking out. Also it seemed like everyone was having a good time.
1. The most beneficial activity in this class was the icebreaker. This is because i don't like speaking in front of large groups. It helped me to overcome that fear and i am now able to speak better to people who I don’t know.
2. One thing i wish to never forget in this class is how you really learned about yourself. In this class you learned what things are best for you and how old habits weren't really that great for you.
3. If I could change one thing about this class it would be not to work on the computers so much. Although it is a great way to keep everything organized i think it would be better if we were told the directions from the teacher. This would also enforce the habit Seek first to understand then to be understood.
4.I would recommend this course to a friend. It is a great way to get involved with the school. I was really reluctant to the club involvement project because I’ve never been a club person. I never really believed you should join a club unless you are really passionate about it. After joining a club though I realized that i really do enjoy it and wish I would have joined clubs earlier in high school.
5.The habit that I feel I really need to focus on in life is Begin with the end in mind. This is because I will be a senior next year and I really need to focus on where I want to go to school. I have 2 colleges in mind I would really like to attend. Yet I still need a back up plan incase those fail. Also I need to work really hard in school and study for SAT's.
1. What was the most beneficial activity we did in this course? Why? I think it was the group projects becasue we got to work together with people and we got to learn about the 6 habbits.
2. If there was only one thing you learned from this course that you never want to forget, what would it be? Why? I would want to remember all of the habbits from the book becasue they are important in life.
3. If you could change one thing about this course, what would it be and how would you change it? I would make this class longer. i really like this this class.
4. Why would you recommend (or not) this course to other students in our school? I would recommend this to other students because all of the stuf fwe learn i s really important.
5. Which of the "7 Habits" do you feel is the most important for you to focus on right now in your life? Why? How will you be implementing this Habit in your life? The most important habbit for me is put first things first. this is important for me so i do notput off my homework for something i do not need to do like TV. i will use this by keeping an agenda taht will plan what i do and when and i will make sure i put the most important things first.
1. The most beneficial activity we have done this year was the icebreakers, because everyone had to do one, and it makes them step up and be a leader. Not only that, but the people taking part in the icebreaker got to have a lot of fun and learn a lot about each other.
2. I learned how to be an effective leader. I learned that if you want something to happen you can't wait for it to just fly by. You have to get up and do something. You have to make it happen.
3. The thing I would change about this course is that I would give more options... I think that the course was great, but this is a leadership course and you have everyone FOLLOWING the same course, maybe you could give people options or allow them to think of an activity for people to do in the course to give more inscentive for people to be leaders. But overall the course was great.
4. Yes, I would definitly recommend this course to everyone in the school. Not only do you learn a lot as a student, but you learn even more as a person. This class will help you through school and college, but it will help you even more through the rest of you life.
5. The habit I need to work on the most is "Synergize". Working together is a very important part of life without teamwork you can't get through life, it is just as simple as that. And sometimes I just kind of forget that. Sometimes I like to work alone which is ok, but if you really want to make a difference in your life and in others then you have to work together.

1.) The most beneficial project I did this year was the team project. It taught me how to work with other poeple and get all the tasks i need to do accomplished. it taught me that sometime people can be difficult to work with but you have to deal with it.
2.) the thing i will take away from this class is my public speaking skills. i learned to speak up and to try to keep what im saying interesting to keep my audience's attention. it is a good skill to have and i will continue to work on it.
3.) if i could change one thing about this course it would be to do more group things because it helps to build friendships and teaches people how to work better together.
4.) i would recommend this course because you are given a lot of freedom to get all your work done and work at your own pace. also you are treated like an adult not like a baby.
5.) i think the most important habit for me to focus on is sharpen the saw because i need to take some time for myself every once in a while. i think i take on too much stuff sometimes and i need to take a little break and focus on things i like doing. this will effect my life by helping me to be more productive.

5. Which of the "7 Habits" do you feel is the most important for you to focus on right now in your life? Why? How will you be implementing this Habit in your life?
The most important habit to me is "PUT FIRST THINGS FIRST". It helps me get all of my work done and start doing fun things.
I want to sincerely thank each of you for your contributions to this course. I can only hope that our time together has impacted you as much as it has me.
1.) The most beneficial project we did in this class was the Club Involvement project. It taught me how to design, plan and execute a project. It also involved working with others and compromising. It will be useful to us in the future, in any career. This was also good practice in leading a group of people.
2.) One thing I learned from this course and never want to forget is Sean Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. These were practical, valuable lessons that will not only make your life less hectic, but more successful. With real stories from teenagers and hilarious cartoons, we learned how anyone can use them. They are easy habits that you can easily incorporate in your day to day life which will truly benefit you.
3.) If I could change one thing about this course, I would make it longer. It sometimes felt rushed when projects were due and we did not have much time to focus on the habits. I also think that if the class were longer, projects could be more open and creative. This would practice leadership and have more diverse projects.
4.) I would definitely recommend Leadership to others. It was very fun and I learned a lot through this course and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. I also think this class would be more worthwhile, than say an art class, because you are learning skills that will help you in the rest of your life.
5.) I think the habit I should focus on most is Put First Things First. If you prioritize, your life overall will be more enjoyable. You will never have to worry about cramming for a project, forgetting about a report or anything else along those lines. Therefore, the quality of your work will rise, boosting your grade. I can practice this by using my agenda more often, keeping a calendar and continuing with my First Things First chart.
1)The most beneficial activity that we did in this class was the individual icebreaker activities. It gave a chance for each person to become a leader without the help of a teacher and it gave us a great foundation on to what leading a group is really like.
2)One thing that I learned in this class that I will never forget is when Mr.Turton told us straight out that he wasn't going to intervene in our individual icebreakers and let us handle it on our own because that is how it is going to be in the real world and I try to lead a meeting or two by myself.
3)One thing that I would want to change about this course is the fact that we had so many projects in such a short amount of time because even though I am a very organized person, on top of my other classes it was very overwhelming. I felt if the number of projects went down, the quality of projects left would go up.
4)I would recommend this course to other students because it gives you a great opportunity to spread your wings and become a leader for real without the help of teachers or parents. I would tell other students that when you walk into the classroom and get to work, you feel like an adult instead of just a highschool student.
5)One habit that I need to focus on right now in my life is, habit #1, Be proactive. Being proactive is main goal right know because I have so many classes and grades are closing and there is so much to think about right know. By being proactive, this will help me to stay on task and I will be able to accomplish more assignments and in the end this will be beneficial to me and those around me.
1) the most beneficial project i believe we have done was that group project it helped students get to know people they might not ever get to know
2)To be proactive and help out and not let people do all the work.
3)I would want to be less lazy and more active
4)i would recommend this course for kids that are trying to b leaders in other peoples lives
5)Be proactive it will help people be more confident around you if you are around them it also you can step up and lead things.

1. I felt the most beneficial activity that we did was to lead an icebreaker because it helped us become comfortable with being a leader for your peers.
2. I think the only thing I would have wanted to learn would be the seven habits because I now use them every day and they have really helped me to improve my relationships.
3. If I could change one thimg it would be to have less projects on the computer because using the computer is really hard for me and I found those projects difficult.
4. I would recomend this project to other students and I think that if everyone in this school took this course then the school would be a nicer place to be.
5. I think synergizing is the most important habit for me because I tend to be an independant person and I should learn to work together better. I plan on practicing this when I have to do group projects in school.
